Silicon nitride ceramic ring: a high-performance ring-shaped component made from high-purity Si₃N₄ via isostatic pressing, injection molding, or gel casting, followed by pressureless or hot pressing sintering. Its microstructure of interlocked β-Si₃N₄ grains provides high flexural strength (800–1200 MPa) and fracture toughness (>6 MPa·m¹/²). It withstands up to 1400°C, has a low thermal expansion coefficient (~3.2×10⁻⁶/℃), resists thermal shock >800°C, and offers excellent wear/corrosion resistance and electrical insulation. Commonly used in high-speed precision bearings, semiconductor wafer carriers, turbocharger sealing rings, high-temperature furnace supports, and oil-free lubrication seals.
